Junction conditions: foundations and subtleties

Abstract: This talk is an introduction to the junction conditions formalism. I will provide the basic notions to understand the topic (tensor distributions, regular plus singular decomposition, etc.) and a general procedure that we proposed to analyze particular theories. I will also unveil certain ambiguities that appear when dealing with distributions in this context.
